This was, without a doubt, the most abysmal interview experience I have ever endured. Everything proceeded smoothly until the final round, where I was subjected to an interview with the CEO. He offered no greeting, merely gesturing for me to sit down. He was not just rude, but aggressively dismissive, questioning every single detail on my resume. He directly challenged me, asking, "Are you actually studying for your undergraduate degree on-site, or just remotely?" and demanding, "What's your last job manager's name? Which group were you in?" It felt as though he operated under the cynical assumption that everyone was attempting to deceive him. I drove an hour for this onsite interview, only for him to unleash a barrage of hostile questions and abruptly terminate the discussion in a mere 20 minutes. The sheer waste of time across this grueling four-round interview process is infuriating. Yet, I am now profoundly grateful to have uncovered the truly toxic nature of this CEO before ever accepting a position at his company. It's a stark warning about the leadership and culture I narrowly avoided.
