The hiring process is a mass interview where they get as many "bodies" in the room as possible before delivering what is intended to be a highly inspirational and motivational speech/presentation to get the people in the room attracted to the company. Most of what is said about benefits and the position are lies or extreme over-exaggerations. It is average in the industry for insurance companies to not pay for their sales people to obtain their licenses without signing some form of agreement that states they will stay with the company for a certain period of time, but that is understandable because the licenses belong to the producer and not the company. Interview process is generally not one-on-one because they aren't necessarily interested in who each individual is as a person. The ultimate goal for management is to make clones for presentation and sales purposes because they do have a script and model that has a higher closing ratio if used.

There was nothing difficult in the interview process. But it was unexpected to be in a mass interview because that was not stated on the phone by the recruiter. In fact, the recruiters generally lie or omit as much information as possible to get people in for the interview, because they want "bodies" not quality people.

Received a call for the interview one day prior with very limited information about the company and job details. Researched the company and suspected this would be a waste of my time but kept an open mind about it. Upon arriving I felt like this was a cattle call for all unemployed professionals as I took the last available seat in the waiting room. I was called back very quickly and into a small office with one seasoned agent and another "training". The interview process lasted less than five minutes, I asked if this was commission only based and if licensing fees would be taken care of by them. Without answering either question, Evan declares I'm not going to be a good fit and escorted me to the back door.

They contacted me after they saw my resume on Monster for an interview. Round one was an introduction about the company then an interview, which was all about previous occupations and team work. Round Two was after 3 days, where we discussed leadership and motivation.
