The interview process was pretty straight forward. It was first an interview over the phone about my skills and she told me about the position and the pay. I was applying for a merchandising trainer position that I was well qualified for. I have been merchandising for 30 years. She also said that American Greetings has a salary cap of $16.50 FOREVER. I really needed a job at the time so I scheduled my in person interview.

How comfortable was I driving from store to store?
Phone call interview, super short and asked about availability and experience. Asked if I liked greeting cards or had experience with planograms. Wanted to make sure I had reliable transportation and understood that work would be heavier around the holidays and slower in summertime.

i was simply called and after a very short conversation, where i was asked to confirm my reason for not working for past couple years and my home location i was hired. they arranged to meet with me complete i9 and then my tablet was ordered. I received employee number couple days later and began paid training modules at home and had to keep up with my time while completing them, a super easy process.

Entrevista
Offer was rescinded. I received a very casual phone call with basic questions and was told if I wanted the position it was mine and then was scheduled to meet the manager in person a week later. The day before I was supposed to meet the manager I received an automated email from the company saying they're not moving forward with me. I contacted the manager to verify this and he said that yes, they did decided to move forward with another candidate. Disappointing to receive an offer definitely from a human being then have it rescinded for no reason from an automated email. Was looking forward to working with this company as I love their products, but the process left me disillusioned.
