Quick introductory phone interview with a gentleman from Mattel, based in CA, to cover the basics. Went well and we set up a video call with the NYC on-site hiring manager. Here is where it got very disappointing; from the beginning, the hiring manager had absolutely no interest in interviewing me. The questions were very basic and not challenging, and she seemed very impatient and cut me off or interrupted my answer regularly. I really tried to make a connection, but I’ve never came across someone who cared less than her. Being a hiring manager myself since 15+ years, I don’t think this is the right occupation for her.
