Interview process is difficult. Several rounds of phone interviews followed by 'loop' interviews where you interview with 6 people in succession in one day. They ask a lot of questions designed to catch you out. You can't just have a back and forth conversation, they ask questions they're looking for specific answers, so really their interview process is one you have to practice for to pass their questions with specific answers rather than being able to have a person to person conversation with to get a better idea not only what you can do but also what it's like to work there. Despite passing their interview stage, I declined their offer as they were offering below market rates for the role. More worryingly, I declined their offer and then fairly shortly afterwards they started laying off tens of thousands of people in those sorts of job roles. It is striking that they were hiring so aggressively right up until they decided to lay a whole load of people off. Considering companies always lay off people with less than 2 years tenure first as they can do so without any due process, the lack of hiring oversight there is staggering.
