I enjoyed the primary technical assessment, which was a take-home case study. It was very much a "choose your own adventure" in terms of solution, and could be as complex or as trivial as you choose to make it within time constraints. I had to pick up their preferred language/framework, since its been a while that I've dabbled in that stack, but was reassured the focus was not on the "gotchas" of the tooling.
Apart from that, I had a few conversations and everyone was a pleasure to talk to. Everyone made sure to tie things back to the success of Albert which got me pretty excited about moving forward. I also appreciated the transparency and responsiveness throughout the hiring process.

Contacted via LinkedIn, I had an initial call with a tech recruiter who provided an overview of the role, tech stack, and company. I then received a case study to build an MVP for a fullstack app satisfying the provided functional and non functional requirements. This was followed by two technical interviews with the engineering team. The recruiter was highly communicative, keeping me informed about timelines and setting clear expectations throughout. Overall, it was a positive experience interviewing with Albert's team, who appear to have an exciting product roadmap and strong leadership.

Recruiter reached out to me directly to ask me to interview. I shared current salary and that I’d need a decent bump to move. He said not a worry at all. So I research Albert thoroughly, attend the interview, make them like me and they invite to progress. Then they ask me salary expectations and I share what I’ve already shared. They tell me the range for the job caps at my current salary so the offer will likely be lower. I decline to progress. I reach out to the recruiter and ask what happened, and I never hear from them again.
