I interviewed for an opening in the UK, and after a screening call with the outsourced recruiter I then got asked to interview with the business. In this interview I was told I interviewed well, and was on the “short of the short list” and told to expect some personality testing in the coming days. I was told this went to all interviewees regardless of progressing or not, and happily awaited. Some days passed and I reached out to the individual to tell him that I hadn’t received any testing links, no response. Then asked the same of the external recruiter, who said they’d speak to them. Nothing. So essentially gone from “interviewed well” “clearly more than qualified for the job” and “short of the short list” to ghosted repeatedly. Telling someone they aren’t going forward isn’t too much to ask.
