It was a 2 stage interview process. The first interview was more technical to test my property knowledge and get to know me, the second interview with the CEO was mostly him talking about the firm.

The nice location is probably the only good thing about this law firm. I arrived for my interview 10 minutes before time and was directed to sit in the waiting area by reception staff. I was later called in to meet the CEO Mr. Ahmed. And as I walked through the office, the atmosphere seemed so off and cold, it was almost like the staff were not allowed to talk to each other. I noticed the majority of the staff members were quite young and fresh out of uni, which is not always a good sign as from past experience, this means that the company tend to be quite manipulative especially when it comes to low salary offers and do not treat their staff well because of their little to no experience with working in the corporate world. The CEO’s office is a glass room overlooking every one else beneath him and when you stand up you can see everyone and shat they are doing at their desks which I thought was odd. As I entered the room, I came in and greeted him and the first thing this man could say is “oh wow, you’re already 1 minute late, not a good start is it” before telling me to have a seat. The interview was probably the worst one I’ve been to. Amon was later joined by another director called Peter and it honestly felt like I was being interrogated. I was asked questions about my experience and I was hardly able to finish a sentence before being asked another question that was completely unrelated to the role or made to feel stupid by a sly comment they would say. They went through my CV with a fine tooth comb almost tried to make it out like I was not good enough for the role, bare in mind I had been working in that area of law for over 1 year. They later ended the interview by saying “ I would not pay you so and so amount for the work you do but all the best”. I’m actually glad I did not get this role, as it’s clearly saved me from a lot of turmoil I would have encountered later.
