      Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en AIR MILES (Toronto, ON)

      Entrevista

      Was called by the recruiter. Had 3 rounds. Before going researched the firm enough (over prepared I guess since I didn’t get answers on some of their new cutting edge acquisitions). From website I got a feel they were low on diversity and being a visible minority wasn’t sure I should apply. However put aside my hesitation and went through the process. Yes diversity factor is low from my observation visiting office 3 times. Recruiter informed me the hiring manager didn’t want to take individual decision and wanted consensus (warning sign on decision making ability). Total 5hrs interviews and 3rd round case study which needed another 5hrs preparation. 1st round – Hiring manager and Partner, 2 people. Generally positive. Went fine and was called for 2nd. Questions were general and easy on analytics concepts and mostly time spent on leadership style. 2nd round- Great round with VP and colleague and team member. Generally positive. Asked about my experience with marketing analytics and mostly on industry trends, past experience and leadership style. Went fine and was called in for 3rd round with a case study. 3rd round – Case study presented to Hiring manager and team member. This involved about 5hrs prep work (min) at home with sample data provided. After 3rd round was told they are going with a referred candidate. I was wondering why they don’t first decide before calling candidate 3 times to office with a case study!!! If case study is a filter criteria, should have been the first round!! Given the time and effort I spent on this, and the reason, didn’t leave me with a positive experience overall on the process, though few people whom I met were great.
