This whole company is a sham. I applied online, as it was advertised as a marketing role, and was offered an interview. This was 5 mins long and consisted of the MD going through a generic, bragging powerpoint about how 'successful' the company was. There was no information about the job itself. I got a call an hour later saying he was really impressed with me (I barely had a chance to speak so this rang alarm bells), and I had an assessment day to attend the following day. I decided to do it because I'd just finished uni and really needed a job. Turns out the 'assessment day' is literally being taken round to knock on people's doors and convince them to sign up for a charity subscription. Absolutely not marketing, it's door-to-door sales, and I could see why they were mysterious about the job itself. The manager who was taking me round was really patronising, asking ridiculous questions and basically saying my degree was worthless since he'd dropped out of school and was so successful haha. I quit the day after lunch because people were actually getting angry about being harassed (understandably) and I couldn't bear to be involved with it any longer, it was completely embarrassing. Unfortunately we were around a 30 minute drive away from Chelmsford where my car was so I had to wait around all day to get a lift back once they'd finished. Terrible, deceiving company, literally couldn't have been any worse.
