It was alright. They were very personable and friendly. There were a number of written components. They asked about analytical skills, written skills, and my past work experiences. I learned a lot from the experience. The interviewer actually encouraged me not to work there.

After applying on LinkedIn, I received a direct message on LinkedIn for the ADT recruiter. We set up a time to meet rather quickly within the next few days, during which we had a quick phone call to confirm the details of the position and answer a few preliminary questions. Afterwards I met with one of my potential direct managers. Questions were really tough, and a bit outside the box. It seemed as if they wanted to understand how I would approach problems or what my thought process was like, not just that I got them right or wrong. A few days after that, I met with another manager. The questions weren't as tough and a few were a repeat from the previous interview. Overall, it seemed as if they were more concerned with being able to work well together rather than if my skills exactly fit that position. For me this was a good thing, as I care more about learning and growing my skills in the position. Finding a good group of people to work with can be much tougher! About a week later, I got an update that they were working on an offer. It was a few days after that that I received my offer. A few things that stood out was that this is a big company so the approval process for decisions and a new hire can take a little longer than other companies. For me it was about a total of 3 weeks from application to offer. My best advice for someone interested, would be to just be yourself and when in doubt on the questions, work through them outloud so that they can understand who you are and why you came up with the answer you did.
