Had 3 interviews. A phone screening, a teams meeting, and an in person meeting/tour. Meeting with HR and my direct report was a good experience. It was quite obvious they wanted me to have the job. Then, after speaking with the CEO during the third interview, he said he wanted to check my references before offering a position. I was then emailed 4 days later stating I did not receive the position due to qualifications that we had gone over during the phone screening. I was told they never reached out to my references. Please respect peoples time.
