10 questions with 5 person panel committee led by head of advising. Heading into the weekend before interview on a Thursday (I think) I asked for any prep material in advance. 30 minutes before interview in the following week, I was sent a list of 10 questions which left me with a crash course preparation of formulating talking points for my answers, 20 minutes or so before interview time. Not my best performance, but I would have been far more prepared with prep questions sent in timely fashion. My best performance was evident at the last segment of the interview with the 8 to 10 questions I asked of them about the role and the department and macro level perspective of how their advising work was impacted by pandemic and how they pivoted in adversity. When I asked about timeline to hear back on decision or next steps, I was told after recommendations are made to HR, it's out of their hands, but to expect at least 30 days to hear anything for roles they ideally would fill immediately. It's been 60+ days and from what I've read or head, I'm left to believe I would have received a rejection letter if I was not getting an offer. So I guess, no news is good news?
I recommend prospective candidates to arrange for at least a couple of business days between confirming interview and actual interview time. Get any prep material emailed to you in advance as soon as possible. Follow up after 24 hours if you didn't get anything sent your way.
