Entrevista
Recruiter contacted me thru a job board. We talked over the phone and she asked me what I was looking for in a company. The recruiter was very honest about the job and explained that it would be an over the road position and that if I was willing to stay out on the road for the suggested time I would get decent miles and a decent paycheck. She advised me to fill out a driver application thru the company website so that we could see if I qualified to work there. She warned me that applications can take a good 3-7 days to process because of the reports they request and employment verifications. She kept me informed thru phone calls and emails every step of the way. she gave me days and times to call her to check on the status throughout the process which was great. She let me know when she was done processing the application and told me she would be sending it to safety department for review and it would be within 48 hours. Once she got an answer she sent me and email and called me on the phone.

The recruiter asked me basic questions but also wanted to know what I was looking for in a company. She asked why I was looking for employment elsewhere and why I was considering leaving my current company. I explained to her what was going on at my current employer and she just listened. She then asked me what I liked about my current company. I told her all the things I liked. She asked how and what could a company do to make a driver like myself feel valued as an employee. I told her that a company that cares about its drivers provides them with the chance to make the money they are after. Keep me running and give me the miles I need to support my family and I will feel valued.
