I applied for a job and got an email for the screening call. I did it and it went well. Then I got booked a second interview with two ladies from the service manager team. Although the JD was advertised as a business analyst. They said that the job is actually a product ownership. They asked if I can do it. I said yes. Then after a 30 to 45min of talking, I asked them whether they have any concerns regarding my application. They said yes, they don't think I am interested in this position. I was a bit shocked. I replied: so why are we having this conversation then? They did not reply. One of the ladies then asked me: "tell me why you would be a good fit for a PO job?" I replied: I have exposure to business management, business analytics and project management which are essential topics to understand product ownership also. I have been interviewed and continue to interview for product jobs. She then replied: "I don't believe you". I replied: 'believe whatever you want, I am stating facts to you". At that point our discussion got a bit heated as I found her comments a bit insulting. Her colleague then took over the meeting and asked any final remarks, which we did not have. Then they said that they will be in touch to give their final decision, which never happened.
