Got called for an 8–9 AM slot on a Saturday. Joined early, they joined late: already setting the tone. Two people on the call one interviewer and the President and CEO himself. Interview was going fine until the CEO asked me to describe a problem I solved for a client. I began explaining and was interrupted midway with "you have worked for 5 years and can't explain a problem you fixed" dismissive, condescending and completely uncalled for. This was our very first interaction. I had just explained I recently transitioned from DevOps into data analytics which was exactly why they approached me in the first place. None of that was taken into consideration. I kept my composure but that moment said everything. How a CEO speaks to a candidate in a first interaction is a direct reflection of the culture he has built. It raised serious questions for me about respect, empathy and day to day working environment here. The role also expected one person to handle what is clearly a full team's responsibilities which further tells you how they operate. Go in with full awareness if you're considering this place.
