Entrevista
One of the strangest virtual interviews I'd ever done. Interviewer seemed disappointed in the work she was doing and repeatedly stressed that the job would have limitations for creativity and innovation which was disheartening and worrisome for a company that is marketing itself on the cutting edge of technology. Interviewer tended to make assumptions about my desires in the job, saying a few times they didn't think I'd be happy in it. She wasn't able to accurately answer my questions about the company's digital initiates or capabilities and seemed overqualified for what I'd imagined this job to be. I left the interview feeling like I'd dodged a bullet if this was the type of person working at the company.
I felt down about this until hearing from another colleague in the industry that they'd had a very similar interview process where they tried to funnel us into a couple different job descriptions, seemingly unconcerned with our backgrounds or interests. Really disappointing... wouldn't want to work for a company that's this restrictive of their digital design process.

This process was delayed due to Covid, however, I am very disappointed in the way my interview was handled.
I was contacted by email about a week after applying. The first interview round, I spoke with the recruiter over the phone. They asked questions about my experience and then told me I would be moving on to the next round. After a few days, I received a follow up email requesting a day and time to video interview. My second interview was pleasant and was only 30 minutes. I was able to ask questions and elaborate on my experiences. I was told I would hear back within a week. However, things with Covid became worse, so the process was delayed. About 3 weeks later, I received an email stating that they were closing the position due to a hiring freeze.
About two month later, the position was reposted. I was so excited! However, I was not contacted. I applied again and followed up with the recruiter. I was told they would get back to me by the end of the week. That was 4 weeks ago.
I really like 2U's mission and felt this company would be a great fit for my career goals. I have also applied to positions that I felt were within my skillset. I have yet to hear about any of them. They have over 100 positions available at this time and I am certain now I am not wanted.
