Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 8 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en 23andMe (Mountain View, CA) en ago 2018

      Entrevista

3 days after applying for the position I received an email requesting a 30 min phone interview with a recruiter. Following the phone interview I was asked to complete a design challenge and was given one week to finish the task. I completed the challenge and shortly after sending it over I received a follow up email from the recruiter requesting a second phone interview with the hiring manager. After chatting with the manager I was moved on to in-person interviews and was flown down to Mountain View for 24 hours. The interview lasted all day and the entire team was awesome and the atmosphere seemed very good. I was told I would be followed up with ASAP once the interview ended. The follow-up took longer than I had expected and it was basically a recruiter telling me they were wrapping up the in-person interviews and I had been the first candidate so "hang tight." I appreciated the communication but was growing slightly impatient as I was holding off on other opportunities due to my interest in the position. Again, after some time, I received a call from a recruiter to talk about next steps and salary requirements, etc. Here is where things become incredibly messed up: I chatted with the recruiter and we discussed moving to the Bay Area, the cost of living, the salary range for the position, and the relocation package on a Wednesday before a holiday weekend. She tells me that she will be circling back to the chat with the hiring manager to discuss salary and that the CEO reviews offer letters on Fridays and Tuesdays so she hopes to get back to me with good news on Friday, but since the CEO is incredibly busy, not to worry if I don't hear from her until Tuesday. So I don't hear from her on Friday and don't hear from her on Tuesday. I am starting to grow a little concerned and pretty annoyed at this point considering they had literally strung me along for 7.5 weeks but remained calm since the recruiter 100% implied that she would be coming back to me with an offer. Wednesday I get a phone call from her and it went something like "HI! I am so sorry I kept you waiting and didn't get back to you over the holiday weekend! Everyone was so busy. We have chatted about the position since Wednesday and the entire team really loved you but we have decided to hire someone more senior for the role. OH! I am so sorry! You sound disappointed! Shoot!" Are you kidding me? This is not how you treat people. I had such high interest and hope for this company. What an absolute mind game. So disappointed.
