a couple of discussions : with hiring manager, another manager, a peer, head of talent/hr. using a lot of behavioral star standard questions, a bit scripted, but people were nice

I had 2 phone calls with 2 members from the recruiting team- one being a manager and the other an IC. The calls covered basic questions from my background, to my workload, what types of technical roles I recruited for, the reason for looking, etc. I had the first call, waited a week or so to be invited to an additional phone screen interview. The second interview was exactly the same, covering the same questions. It was pretty redundant, and not the best use of anyones time. I was then left in the dark for some time, to be told they were looking for someone with more sales experience (which wasn't mentioned in either calls). Not a great experience as a recruiter, the feedback didn't seem truthful and when I replied asking for more details and with questions, they never responded.
