      Entrevista

The whole process was (by far) the worse experience that I've ever had in "getting a job". This review will be all over the place, because that's exactly how I was treated; weeks or no communication, being told that I had the job from the CEO and an executive. I was interviewed three times, but had over 8-conversations/phone calls regarding the job (over 2.5-months), 3 of which were phone calls assuring me and telling me that I got the job, and to await offer letters. I also asked for some tips on how I can best move to the Chicago metro area, so that I could transition. I was first suggested by the top executive that 1891 would like for me to work hybrid for the first 3-months in order to make sure that I could handle the job, and so that I wouldn't move to Chicago just to be jobless again. I didn't exactly appreciate the lack of trust, but I accepted the wisdom of it; and that I should hear back within the next business day from the CEO regarding the offer. I was later contacted (again, weeks later and me having to reach out multiple times) by the CEO stating that they would put me as a 1099 instead until I completed the 3-month probation period, but that I would work hybrid. Again, I did not appreciate this whatsoever, but, I acquiesced (as I was anticipating starting this job for well over a month and was super excited regarding the position) in order to somehow get the momentum going to finally start. I was told that I would get the offer letter within the hour; later, I got an e-mail that noon that I would get an offer letter that evening or the following business day. I was again ghosted by the CEO until I badgered for contact. The e-mail from the CEO stated that they were going in a different direction because HR wanted employees to be in the office 5-days out of the week (even though the two executives that I spoke to works hybrid), and that me being hybrid wouldn't work! Excuse me, 1891 FL, are you serious? You suggested to me to work hybrid, not the other way around. I asked you, 1891 FL, for tips on how I could move to greater Chicago. This whole company makes sense now why they can't find anyone to stay there and fill the position, as they were telling me some of their troubles regarding such. I have never been taken for such a ridiculous ride before in my life. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I resisted writing this review for over a month now, because I still, deep down, would like to work this position, but the amount of unscrupulous behavior from 1891 FL is too much. Also, I was told that the salary was $40,000, but that target compensation is $120,000. Are you serious? That salary is for the lowest, base, sales desk representative. Other competitors pay $60,000 salary for internal wholesalers.
