The process was in three parts. The first was with the Technical Hiring Manager. This is an around 60 minutes zoom interview and is more of a get to know you type conversation where there are discussions in general about you and some high level technical discussions as well.
The second interview is another zoom call and is more in depth in technical conversations with one of Director of Engineers and Director of Client Deliveries.
The third one also a zoom call around 30 mins is more of a confirmation and discussions in both general and technical details and Q&A session with one of Vice President of Engineers.
The interviews are dependent on each other and you won't get to the second one if the first one was not in par with the standards and vice-versa.
My experience with the overall interviews was great and I was notified within a short period of time about the status and what to expect during whole process.

I met some 10up employees at a WordCamp and applied online via an employee referral. I was asked to send code samples and a resume. The actual interview was a 1 on 1 meeting with the president. Following that I did a two-week trial project (paid).

Entrevista
The recruiting firm "HomeCoders" brought this 10up opportunity to me. HomeCoders themselves interviewed me over the phone about my abilities before submitting me as a candidate to 10up. They ensured I really was an experienced engineer, with WordPress experience.
My interview with 10up Engineering took place over Skype while my basement was being flooded by a burst pipe. I don't think the interviewer even knew. He was easy to talk with, and asked general questions about what kinds of projects I'd worked on before. He also asked how I felt I could function on a remote team.
I was surprised there were not more technical questions. I feel like they were in a hurry to hire people, and should have been more stringent. I'm sure they were relying on HomeCoder's initial review process to help this a little bit. I do think they're starting to beef up their hiring game in 2016, though.
