Develop theoretical models of laser cooling and manipulation of atom beams.
Work on general physics problems related to the production of cold intense beams of neutral atoms.
Develop numerical models to validate theoretical models subject to engineering constraints.
Produce simulation tools to assist other teams and projects.
Collaborate across teams on theoretical, simulation, and experimental projects.
Produce and maintain high quality documentation and code, as well as review documentation and code written by colleagues.
A person that thrives in a collaborative fast paced environment working on complex, interconnected, and evolving problems.
PhD or masters with strong track record or equivalent level of experience.
Experience with laser cooling and manipulation of atoms.
Competency in programming, particularly Python or Julia.
Direct experience with atom beams or supersonic sources
Hands on lab experience
Significant record of publications or strong thesis
Capable of back of the envelope calculations to assess physics/engineering problems and proposals
