Students across our network excelled at Future City competitions around the country. These competitions allow our students to engage with complex engineering and city planning concepts, bringing their vision for a city to life. We are so proud of every student and teacher who brought these amazing ideas to life!
Our preschools went above and beyond during the recent holiday season to give back to their communities. Across the country, through food drives, toy donations, and adopting families, our schools spread holiday cheer and made the season brighter for those in need in their community.
Our IK12 and Montessori division schools gave back to their communities in big ways during the 2024 holiday season. Toy drives, clothing donations, and even writing letters to veterans showed students the many ways they can get involved and make a difference in the world around them.
On October 24th, over 110 schools and more than 14,000 students across our nationwide network had an amazing time participating in Jumpstart’s Read for the Record event. Read for the Record is the world’s largest shared reading experience, celebrating early literacy and supporting children’s early language and social-emotional development.
Summer 2024 was not only about epic moments and fun activities, but also giving back to the community and helping those in need. Through our Kids Helping Communities initiative, our Early Childhood Education schools raised over $41,000 to battle childhood illness and support local organizations and animal shelters, and donated nearly 2,000 books, personal care items, school supplies, and more. Our youngest students have done a great job and we are so proud of them!
During the 2023-2024 school year, students raised over $225,500 and donated more than 7,130 gifts and toys; 4,430 clothing items, including shoes, winter clothing items, and pajamas; 20,000 lbs. of food items; 4,400 school supplies and essential care items, including toiletries, diapers, personal hygiene items, and more. We strive to instill the value of community service in all of our students and we are proud of their contributions this year!
During Teacher Appreciation Week, schools across our network showed their appreciation for and thanks to all of the dedicated teachers who make our school communities the special places they are. Campuses showed their creativity with a carnival theme, Harry Potter theme, "There's Muffin Better Than You," and many more special treats. Thank you teachers!
Over 130 Spring Education Group schools across America celebrated Earth Day this year by releasing thousands of ladybugs into their schoolyards, planting gardens, participating in community clean-up projects, making bird feeders, and more! We are committed to making a difference one student at a time by educating students about the importance of taking care of the environment and encouraging them to get involved.
We are pleased to announce that Spring Education Group has been included on Newsweek’s list of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families 2023! Newsweek and data firm Plant-A Insights Group worked together to produce this list of 800 family-friendly companies based upon employee data and insights. To be recognized alongside well-known companies including Nike, Nordstrom, Adobe, Mastercard, and many others is a great honor and we are thankful for every employee in our network.
