Recently, our Charlotte office hosted an inspiring event in collaboration with the Women In Trucking Association (WIT). Attendees heard from Ellen Voie, founder of WIT, on empowering women in the industry, leadership, and the importance of diversity. Attendees also heard from Amerit leaders Karen Vinton, Freshta Darwichzada, Jamie Verdugo, Greg Morrison, and Natalie Kathain on surviving and thriving breast cancer and the role of employee resource groups (ERGs) to build diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Our team also had the opportunity to tour the WITney truck, which featured interactive trucking knowledge, including a driving simulator. We appreciate the efforts of the organizers, Amerit colleagues, and everyone who joined us online for making this event a success!
Last month, our western team completed the Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification with a remarkable 100% completion rate! The Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification certifies an understanding of Six Sigma methodology. This important knowledge equips our management team with continuous improvement methodologies including streamlining processes, reducing waste, and enhancing organizational effectiveness. Their ability to achieve such a high level of completion is commendable and demonstrates the outstanding leadership at Amerit.
