Ritz Camera & Image (RCI) develops with the times. Its roots reach back to a one-man portrait studio in 1918, and the company has since moved into the digital generation, boasting a camera and electronics chain with more than 300 stores in 35 states. RCI's stores operate under the Ritz, Wolf, Kits, Inkley's, and Camera Shop banners. In addition to cameras, optical supplies, and photographic services, the stores offer TVs, laptops, cell phones, and other gadgets that are ideal for sharing pictures. RCI acquired the assets of Ritz Camera Centers, which went bankrupt in 2009 amid the shift to digital cameras. Under the leadership of CEO David Ritz, the business has a smaller footprint and sharper retail focus.
