The entire organization is paralyzed by Franco-Italian politics — your career trajectory has nothing to do with your performance and everything to do with which country you're from and who you know in Geneva or Grenoble. Middle management is a graveyard of lifers who haven't had an original idea since 2005. Decision-making is painfully slow, innovation is non-existent, and any attempt to push for change gets buried in committees. The semiconductor industry is moving at lightning speed and STMicro is standing still. Competitors are lapping them while leadership congratulates itself in PowerPoint presentations. If you're ambitious, talented, or value meritocracy — run. This place will grind you down and waste your best years. Advice to Management: Stop pretending politics and nationality don't drive every major decision. The talent is leaving and you're not getting it back
