Ventajas
There's pros to working here? I guess, in that it covers what would otherwise be a gap in my resume, and the pay in this economy.
Desventajas
Employee Handbook is non-existant (I haven't seen one since I have started)
Sick time is nearly non-existant (3 days per year, and non-existant in the first year)
Vacation time is nearly non-existant as well
Benefits (Medical/Dental insurance) were non-existant for the first year.
There is very little contact between company management and the rank and file employee.
About the only contact between the Site PM and the contractors is to make sure that time cards are done on time.
Forget about any Christmas Bonus (they don't exist).
Reimbursement for continuing education/certifications does exist, but you will likely be required to sign a contract to work for the company for a set time in order to be reimbursed for it. There is no funding for education.
The rate you start a contract is the rate you will finish the contract at. Have been on the same contract at the same site for more than three years, and have not seen a pay increase, yet the contract has been extended twice.
