Ventajas

eInstruction works in the educational technology market, which is a fun and exciting market to be a part of.

Desventajas

This company was purchased by a private equity company a few years ago and it's been downhill ever since. The equity company does not want to invest the profits back into the company as their purchase of the company was highly leveraged. They are constantly cost cutting to wring as much profit as possible, so they can pay back their huge debt. The recently consolidated their offices in another cost cutting move and are constantly laying off experienced people in favor of lower priced, inexperienced people. They have also lost significant market share over the past two years, so their place in the K-12 educational market is very uncertain. Of course as the market share has decreased, so has their overall revenues.

Ventajas

Was founded by Dr. Darrell Ward with great ethics and a desire to serve everyone. Some of the most gifted professionals I have ever met in the mid and worker bee class. Smart, caring and have a genuine concerns for education, teachers and student. Willing to help anyone.

Desventajas

Purchased by an investor group in 2009 who's sole focus is the bottom line, and it shows. High turn over in management. Senior leaders are excessive in expenditures but adapt at shifting the cost burden to 1099 employee's. Bad communication processes, horrible implementation and a heavy hand at change. Management does not listen to their customer or field reps. They believe they are like Steve Jobs, their product is so good there is no need to be professional. Constant closures of all facilities, changing personnel, responsibilities, expectations.
