Ventajas

I've worked at all R friends and at a recent meeting it was brought up that we are in need of a staff at our Lewis Center location. So since I work at Lewis Center I thought it was appropriate to talk about why I like working at all R friends and why you might want to work here too! Every morning when I come into work, I get hugs from every single person we work with. My day instantly gets better. They are always so excited to see me and make me feel like a rock star! I can't imagine working somewhere at a desk job where I'm isolated. I love being social and hanging out with our friends. I get to go on amazing outings two to three times per week to places like Franklin Park Conservatory, COSI, bowling, the Columbus Zoo, horseback riding, art museums, the movies, and swimming too! I absolutely love my job and would be happy to tell you all about it when you come up for your visit.

Desventajas

Driving can be a bit stressful at first since the buses are pretty big. But you'll get several weeks of training on them before you have to drive by yourself. It's not as bad as I initially thought it would be. Now that I've been doing it for several years, it's super easy.

Ventajas

I genuinely loved the individuals I worked with and will always be grateful for the relationships I built with them. The DSP field itself is incredibly meaningful work, and the individuals deserved every bit of care and advocacy they receive. I would send a loved one to their program but I would absolutely not recommend working there.

Desventajas

Unfortunately, the work environment and leadership made the job emotionally exhausting and unsustainable for staff. Management lacked professionalism, accountability, and healthy communication, which created a very stressful atmosphere. There was a strong culture of favoritism, manipulation, and disregard for staff well-being that made it difficult to feel supported or respected as an employee.
