Desventajas
Toxic culture masked by perks Unstable leadership with minimal outside experience Retaliation for speaking up Promotions and growth actively blocked Performance reviews based on peer opinions, not results I joined Workleap after over a decade in a senior role at a major company. I left stability, mentorship, and proven leadership behind for what I thought would be an exciting new chapter. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst career move I've made. At first, the company is impressive - remote flexibility, slick branding, energetic events, and cool perks. But that fades quickly once you're inside. The culture is toxic, leadership is inexperienced and defensive, and change is constant — not in an agile way, but in a way that leaves teams scrambling every week. I was let go after refusing to fire a team member who was still ramping and showed promise. I pushed back on unrealistic pressure from leadership, and in doing so, became a target. After that, every move I made or word I spoke was scrutinized from every side. Despite my team hitting quota for the first time, I was fired under the guise of "performance." Peer surveys — often driven by politics — outweighed actual results. The irony is painful: a company selling pulse surveys and employee engagement software struggles with morale and retention internally. At one of their gatherings, the Chief People Officer even said, "If you don't like how things are done, get off the train." If you're looking for mentorship, growth, or even basic psychological safety, this isn't the place. Unless you're willing to conform, stay silent, and coast for the sake of a paycheck, think carefully before joining.
