Ventajas
Working from the South Africa office has been interesting. The company went all in on supporting remote employees during covid - full home office setups, daily comms about company performance, the works. Even after things normalized they kept a lot of that transparency which I appreciated. FXLearns gave me access to certs and books I wouldn't have pursued on my own. The company ties work to charitable giving through FXBuilds which gives things a sense of purpose beyond just hitting numbers.
Desventajas
- Time zone differences mean early or late meetings sometimes - Being remote you can feel disconnected from the main office - Wish there was more PTO, especially for contractors - Process updates come fast and it's hard to keep up from afar.
