Ventajas
Vetsource has been around for ~20 years and has a proven record of steady growth. Leadership is thoughtful and intentional about the business directives to ensure that business projections and resourcing are realistic. After working in startup environments for many years, I've come to really appreciate this type of stable environment.
Our C-suite are all extremely approachable and down-to-earth. I feel they really try to cultivate an environment where amiable and collaborative personalities can shine.
Teams definitely don't feel lean, but the company also does not extraneously overstaff, so you will inherently have busier peak periods of work which are manageable.
Lot's of employees here who have been around for 5/10/15+ years, shows me it's a good place to stay in my career.
Fully remote environment while still emphasizing collaboration.
Business is positioned to do well with lot's of strategic initiatives in play. Although we may not be as large as other competitors, our smaller company size and culture give us an advantage when it comes to connecting within the market.
Desventajas
Company recently became majority-owned by Mars in the recent years which has come with painpoints. I believe these are all surmountable and will diminish with time, but they can place strain on processes and add to workloads.
Company hasn't adjusted well from being Portland, OR based to remote based in the sense that there is no standard working time in the org. Can put a strain on connecting with different teams and expectations across different teams on working hours.
