The region you're assigned is everything even if they tell you everyone is equal. Some regions have long winters and do use much equipment while other territories stay steady year round. Some territories only want to work with a field rep and not a remote rep and if you're in a bad territory you won't be in the position long. The District Managers of your region understand that the book of business you're given isn't supposed to be all that profitable and are thrilled when you have positive growth, but your department manager will make you feel like you suck at your job.
