Flexible work time and hours, two or one on one tutoring with a student, lots of resources, friendly coworkers, gain a lot of great teaching skills and knowledge of the Ontario curriculum.

The work environment has shifted with new management, with a more apparent focus on financial gain than student success or tutor support. They won't give you a raise after $30/hour, and often pair non-parable students or subjects together making a session very stressful for the tutor and not conducive to learning for the students. Management can be passive aggressive. Contract, no benefits, CPP, EI, etc. even if you work full time hours.

Owners are great. Approachable, knowledgeable, helpful, the whole package. Fellow tutors are also awesome. everyone is encouraged to ask each other for help to ensure the kids are getting the best instruction possible.

Flexible hours are good for accommodating your schedule, but increase and decrease significantly with the school seasons. That's the nature of the tutoring business though.
