Ventajas
Was put on a good long-term project with good pay. Tiag management is pretty hands off for us contractors. I would only see my boss on rare occasions. So your experience with the company really depends on where your assignment is. You start with 4 weeks of PTO, which is great. They do a 401k match after a year of employment but you have to contribute 16% of your salary to max out on the 4% match.
Desventajas
You do pay some out of pocket premium for health insurance and the coverage isn't great. Deductible is high but they don't offer an HSA, which is a big negative. They also have a mandatory 3 day company meeting/holiday party in Reston, VA. So for the people on the west coast in particular, this is a big pain in the neck. They also do it the week before Christmas which is very burdensome. They pay for the flight (coach) and hotel but not airport transportation or food or anything. Plus if you have kids or pets back home, it gets very pricey. The company thinks this is a great perk but it's really a nuisance. At least make it optional. Allow people to call or video in for the company meeting. It's 2017. We have the technology.
