Ventajas

Work School Schedule practically follows school schedule. Benefits, not the best but better than nothing!

Desventajas

No School, No Pay! Especially during summer months, hard to get by. One has to look for another job. Also since subcontracted by the School District always worried if the contract ends and no renewal one practically has no job. Wage depends on location employee placed and depending on Summit contract is with that company is how one gets paid. Example, one can go from making $17hr today at school location to making $13hr tomorrow if moved to a different location like a bus terminal.

Ventajas

The clients you are sent to work for are very nice and accommodating.

Desventajas

Summit has got to be one of the most fugazy, poorly run, seedy security companies I have ever worked for. They have a very high turnover of guards. They are constantly advertising for new guards. Upon going to their office to submit an application for employment, I ended up waiting for over two hours to be called in for an interview. Meanwhile the person conducting the interviews was on the phone the entire time, making calls and returning calls. There were two candidates ahead of me who had been waiting two hours and more before I had even arrived. Then after all of that, the individual conducting the interview had the audacity to tell me to my face that he did not have anything for me at that moment. The following week they called me and asked if I wanted to work overnights on the weekends. I had to go back to their office for more paperwork and a drug test. Again, I was there over two hours for what ended up taking less than ten minutes. Then I had to go to the location to meet the client. I lasted there less than two weeks because I found out a guard who was hired after me, and who had less security experience than I did, was given a full-time assignment during the daytime hours. I will never again work for Summit, and I recommend that you do not, neither
