Ventajas

- The office is lovely - Co-workers is like a family - Company is branded like a cult you want to be a part of

Desventajas

- Nepotism is through the roof - The CEO isn't always entirely "forthcoming" about the agency's actual past experience - Work very long hours doing a lot of menial tasks and little real design work - Management is infuriating to deal with

Ventajas

Sub Rosa has a host of amazing clients. Peruse their website and you will be amazed. The office is gorgeous. Most of my coworkers are incredibly talented and friendly. Sub Rosa is located in the West Village, one of the trendiest neighborhoods in all of New York. The food is phenomenal, and you can even grab a quick brunch on some workdays since there are so many wonderful restaurants close by.

Desventajas

For so long, Sub Rosa was my home away from home. Now, much of the office color and joy that propelled me to the office has faded. The company has fallen apart in recent years. Most of employees I enjoyed working with the most have left or abruptly fired. The benefits of working at Sub Rosa is obvious: commuting to a beautiful office and the chance to work for incredible clients. However, the job that I signed up for is different than the one I applied for. Much of the initial appeal of working for Sub Rosa is innovation, however most of my coworkers (myself included) end up working on less challenging and engaging projects than we would find at a larger agency. The management needs a lot of improvement. There is poor communication, and Sub Rosa is by far the least transparent company I've ever worked for. There is common fear amongst coworkers that they might be let go at a moments notice. This is due to a pattern of lay-offs that we all feel reflects on the degrading office culture from a persistent employee churn and lack of new, innovative projects.
