Ventajas
You get a a chance to work on many different things -- if something interests you, you can probably work on it. There are a fair number of intelligent people that you can learn from.
Desventajas
Poor compensation, medical coverage is pricey, if you're not one of the "good ol' boys" you probably won't get anywhere, plenty of people that should have been gotten rid of long ago still seem to hold onto their job. Some people are flat out lazy, and only care about making it to 5 PM.
