- Promotions are based on how close of a friend you are with the leadership, not on your impact/professional qualities, so you see terrible managers rise through the ranks, while great people get sidelined. - Goals/targets change every week, so no/little accountability from anyone. - The points above often result in a "delivery theater": teams work hard on a super important initiative that will be forgotten next week. Hence, your results do not matter as much as projecting that you are busy with something. - New Product/Tech leadership is ridiculously incompetent, I do not know how one can be SO bad at it. - Depending on your team/manager, bullying/harassment can be expected and people who speak up usually dissappear. - Constant hidden layoffs, lots of people on burnout leaves and ever-changing goalposts result in teams paying for leadership's poor decisions. - I have never seen THAT much politics in any other company, you could power half of the Netherlands with the energy they spend on it.
