Ventajas
Salary - for the old school staff new staff are paid way less. Canteen - but it gets boring fast but it’s decent.
Desventajas
It is an amalgamation of 4 companies (Astra, Newskies, American and O3b). O3b folks think that they are the best thing since sliced bread and the CEO blatantly favours the people from this organisation, such as the utterly incompetent HR at O3b. The IT department is a pathetic shambles led by people who admit more often than not, that they haven’t a clue. Thankfully they got rid of one dead wood person but replaced him with another. Marketing is just a sad and embarrassing mix of all of the aforementioned companies that lack any real leadership or strategy - but O3b (now part of SES Networks) is given priority over all. They are laying off, almost daily the wrong people (most from the ocean of VP’s we have). Sales are just targeted towards ‘data’ and DTH has been left to die. Basically, the company is being killed by itself; albeit slowly. The CEO is a smooth talking, sell ice to Eskimo’s, kinda guy who is out of his depth. He likes to be cool but hasn’t any idea. And, very wrongly, has consistently hired down right idiots (because as friends they’re good) from Ciena. If you’re hired, sit down with your popcorn and watch this sinking (Backed by the Lux Govt so a matter of national pride), but won’t ever sink entirely company. We are seen, on the outside, as the pinnacle of companies to work at... but under the surface, we are a freaking uncoordinated disaster with neither plan or strategy. Just living on and ‘Dreaming’ of the past and thinking O3b is our saviour - well some do and others think Astra still is (like a 1980's Ford) . With this in your face nepotistic leadership, we are doomed. Think Brexit, double it and add 10.
