Ventajas

Overall, the environment is good. People are nice and easy going. There are generally very helpful staffs except for some occasional bureaucracy.

Desventajas

As a graduate student (part time employee TA/GA), your advisor/TA boss etc has great influence on how your life would be like as they have the utmost authority in the system regarding what you need to do. So luck is important sometimes. If you end up at an unpleasant place, it might be worth considering getting something changed.

Ventajas

co-workers are super nice, friendly and collaborative. Good flexibility in work arrangements. My immediate boss is nice.

Desventajas

Morale is quite low, and turnover is high. We are losing good people and goals are not being met. Senior Leader tell us to do more with less, and do not want constructive feedback. They don't lead by example, taking elaborate trips instead of being present and supporting staff. Rules don't apply to them. So disappointing, not what you would expect from a public university.
