Ventajas
The learning curve for me at Rupa has been astonishing, in the most positive way. Sure, there are challenges to finding the best balance between quality and numbers, something all trade publishers must grapple with. To be honest, it is a process that demands continual refinement and adjustments, because of the dynamics and sensibilities involved. Yet, one can be on top of their game and achieve the goal of publishing a good number of fine books, month after month. Reaching there takes time, a mix of smart strategies and experience, and a sharp and competent team – on all counts, the support of the various departments and, most crucially, of the managing director, Kapish Mehra, has been unflinching and one hundred per cent. At the end of the day, a whole lot of discussions underpinned by transparency go a long way towards building mutual trust and confidence. This I can say from firsthand experience. The legacy that Rupa has built is beyond a shadow of a doubt; that legacy continues to be built with much enthusiasm and on the strength of new ideas, tried-and-tested ways, and streamlined processes. To be able to be a part of the journey here should instil in us a sense of responsibility, purpose and pride. That’s all that is needed, with the right talent of course.

Nothing that I would categorize as 'cons'.
