Ventajas

Getting paid on time/ sign on bonus

Desventajas

Everything from the lack of information your branch manager doesn’t have/ or care about, the lack of team communication/coordination/ knowledge of equipment, lack of training, incompetence to the company protocol if there is one, unrealistic coverage/gas lighting/ guilt tripping clinicians to do outside their scope of practice or fixing their accidents they make and expect you to fix or the lack of management won’t do to remedy the situation. Company holds weekly meeting or even sometimes daily with other RTs, and will say this company runs on clinicians and we’re the back bone of the company but won’t remember respiratory care week or won’t thank you show gratitude or nothing just come to work…. Last the AE will give you incomplete orders, they will be scarred to contact the Dr office for said incomplete order and have you contact the office to get a complete order which is their job….. and the AE will try to go around the backs of other clinicians to rope another clinician to do their dirty work

Desventajas

I worked at Rotech Healthcare and found the attendance policy to be very strict, with little flexibility for unexpected life events. The company enforces a three-incident rule, meaning after a third occurrence, termination can happen regardless of the circumstances. For example, I witnessed a situation where a coworker had to leave work to pick up their child who became sick at school. The following day, the school called again requiring the child to be picked up. Because both situations were unexpected and did not meet the required notice period, this ultimately counted against them and resulted in termination. Situations like this highlight how challenging it can be for employees to manage real-life emergencies under the current policy. While I understand the need for consistency in attendance, I believe that supporting employees during difficult or unexpected situations helps build a work environment where people feel valued. When employees feel supported, they are more likely to stay, contribute positively, and do great work. Prospective employees should be aware of this policy when considering the role.
