Awareness of the need/desire for knowledge & continuous learning; smart/intellectual thinkers, good reputation, high standards, research focused, exposure to diverse international population with emphasis on Asia
Desventajas
There is resistance towards change even though it is taught in theory; there is little collaboration outside of academic discipline & many are content to work in silos; tenure, length of service, being published , monetary contributions, etc. weigh heavier than doing the right thing, treating others with dignity & respect, updating/changing curriculum. As in many academic institutions, there is an aura of superiority & entitlement that can create a culture of isolation & unbelonging
