Ventajas
Working from home. Decent salary and health benefits. Also a phone to use, but it didn't work right. I ended up taking photos with my own equipment.
Desventajas
It had potential and was rewarding to a point. However it was redundant, having to recycle the same stories year after year. You were expected to work constantly-- late evenings until after 11 p.m., weekends, super early mornings, holidays, with minimal time off. No matter how great a job you did, it was never good enough. You had to chase after people who had little or no interest being in the newspapers. You had benefits, but no "official" time off, not even weekends. If you took a day off, you had to work double the next day. My mother was in the hospital during my time here and I couldn't take time to visit her. I'd get calls all day long, felt like I was being micro-managed.
