Ventajas

Renaissance is a company founded by the desire to make a real difference in the lives of students and educators. The company has stood by its mission throughout the years and continues to be driven by what actually works in the classroom. The products are great and so is the dedication and talent of the vast majority of employees. Interim CEO is fantastic (hopefully he will get the position)!

Desventajas

The vibe around the headquarters has changed a lot in recent years, likely attributed (at least in part) to a lot of turnover in the executive team, a leadership team that works remotely, and the demands of being owned by private equity. Things seem to be on the upswing but there was a noticeable dip in morale and enthusiasm.

Thanks for writing this review. We’re glad that you’ve made Renaissance a long-term career choice. It’s nice to read your kind words about your colleagues and about Mike Evans. I know he appreciates it! Also, thank you for sharing your thoughts on our headquarters environment. We are dedicated to the mission-driven Renaissance Culture at all our locations and will continue with that focus. – Kim Mitchell, Chief People Officer

Ventajas

Some of the most amazing people you’ll ever work with. Generally supportive peers. Leaders are kind and not intentionally toxic. Strong brand recognition and a variety of solutions to enable solution selling.

Desventajas

The culture of the organization seems to have succumbed to the broader climate surrounding politics and education. Immense pressure is placed on sales team to deliver in saturated territories with beyond unachievable quotas for some and cake quotas for others. No cost of living increases, lots of layoffs and unclear path for growth with an egregious lack of transparency from leadership about the glaring issues. NONE of this seems intentional or malicious-it just seems like a lot of behaviors caused by extreme desperation.
