Ventajas

Private company so they don't have the cash problems that some of their competitors have.

Desventajas

Rutronik does not understand the North American market. They don't have the proper infrastructure or leadership in place. Any growth they have will be at the expense and pain of their first level employees (and they are the first to get blamed for lack of growth vs. management owning & fixing the various issues). Despite hiring seasoned, successful, and industry experienced employees, many positions are on their second and third round of employees (in just 2-3 years of existence in NA). People are let go for 'performance' or leaving at their own will due to the environment & working conditions. If someone stays employed for a year, that is an accomplishment. There is also an unusual amount of conflict & politics at the corporate and NA levels - there is no such thing as Human Resources. There are extreme differences in direction the company should be moving - one day it was one thing, the next a completely different. In the interview process, it will come off as an opportunity for growth and something new, but it might be only worth considering if you are desperate for a job.

Ventajas

A subsidiary of a very successful Germany-based private broadline distribution company, North America is undergoing a complete restructure in terms of organization and culture. The company is focused on a clear strategy supported by a robust mission and vision for the future. They are evolving into a team of dynamic solution providers.

Desventajas

Positive change takes time. Patience is sometimes required.

Decent pay and you can work remotely

Desventajas

I cannot even begin to explain how terrible this company is. They have been in the United States for 8 years now and have had 4 different managers in that short time. Every employee I started with no longer works there because they quit. The most recent VP's were a husband and wife duo and the husband was terminated for having inappropriate behavior and conduct towards the female staff, so then his wife was in charge. How that is not a conflict of interest is beyond me. Especially for those who reported him, The German leadership refuses to get on board with US business practices which is why after 8 years they still have not made a dent in the marketplace. Forget about speaking up, they won't listen. The morale is abysmal, I had coworker refer to it as "like walking into a morgue". There is no corporate ladder you climb, you're stuck in whatever position you started in. The tools and system are archaic and not up to date what other companies use. Everything is analog which makes it very hard to keep track of your day-to-day operation. The corporate team (who are based in Germany) are the biggest groups of bullies I've ever experienced. They expect you to drop everything and fly to Florida anytime they want to have a meeting, where they verbally berate you the entire time. Oh and don't expect to have a company credit card, you have to pay for everything out of your own pocket then wait 4-6 weeks to be reimbursed. I have absolutely nothing positive to say.
