Ventajas

- You get a lot of experience working on many clients. Staying at least a year or two will help build your resume. - There is SOME career growth, only if those roles open up. For example, if you start as a Coordinator in a client-facing or Media role, the next step up is Senior Coordinator, then Associate or Associate Manager (title naming depends on the department), then Manager. If a Manager role does not open up, then you can’t get that role. If a Supervisor role does not open up, then you can’t get that role. - The health insurance is pretty decent. For the former PPO plan I had signed up for, my copayment was $35 for doctor’s appointments. - You are helping out nonprofits! - The Marketing & Sales Department hosts fun events occasionally. Recently, due to the pandemic, we’ve had virtual trivia events and those were definitely fun. Winners and runner-ups won some prizes. - Depending on which department you are a part of, your immediate team members could be one of the best people to work with. I loved working with my immediate team and together, we grew professionally and personally.

Desventajas

- Work/life balance is BAD during the final quarter of each year. Unfortunately, that is the reality of working with ONLY nonprofit clients. You can’t just take all of Thanksgiving week or Christmas week off because there is too much work to be done. If your team is understaffed, you’re stuck working at a time when you’d rather travel or just visit family. - C-Suite executives took too long to make a decision on the remote/work-from-home policy. - C-Suite executives are not transparent about the state of the company's success (or failures). We were told last year that the company was doing ok, but after seeing all the layoffs in the past months, it is clear that executives have not been completely honest with us. - Many departments are UNDERSTAFFED and this injustice is not fair to employees and not fair to clients. C-Suite executives over-promise clients and under-staff employees. - Leadership is NOT EMPATHETIC towards its employees of color. In light of #BlackLivesMatters and #StopAsianHate, there has been no public stance taken on those social matters from the CEO. - I have seen TOO MANY POC employees leave the company or be laid off in the past few years. Considering that the diversity of employees is very little to begin with, the turnover rate for POC employees compared to white employees is very, very HIGH. This is an unhealthy pattern that is not addressed at all. - For the longest time, I’ve noticed a lot of employees, who are not the best at their jobs, get promoted. The company does give out a lot of “trophy” promotions. - There are too many directors, senior directors, senior executives, etc. and not enough coordinators and associates: the people who are ACTUALLY carrying out the work for clients. - The company spent way too much money on useless swag. Employees don’t need an excessive amount of company-branded lip balm, or baseball caps, or socks.

Ventajas

Coworkers are friendly. Team culture is nice, depending on your team.

Desventajas

Department heads don't listen to their teams. The system transition is causing errors and delays, which will impact clients and cause more churn.
