Ventajas
Given the somewhat-low-passing entry level of many of the positions - software engineers and designers included, the remuneration tied to the person's work is relatively reasonable, albeit quite low compared to most similar companies of the same industry.
Desventajas
Lack of career progression may be one of the many stumbles in this small-sized company (having less than 20 people), but the greatest culprit has to be the management of teams within the organization. Heavy-handed micromanagement is freely exercised as to how often emails should be checked, as well as overt controlling of working policies such as checking-in of work via Control Versioning Systems (CVS), all point to signs of bureaucracy, despite the fact that the CEO himself openly stating that he wished to maintain a "start-up" culture. Knowledge-sharing is not encouraged, which means that people are always left in the dark as to what processes and tasks are performed. In the past few years and months, the number of locals hired (interns included) is declining steadily, all pointing to signs of preferential treatment towards certain ethnicity, and attributing all "merit" and "work well-done" to such (preferred) people. Coupled with poor hygiene (falling sick is very common) as well as a constant delays in office shift schedule, it is easy to see that career prospects from there are low at best, career-destroying at worst.
