      Ventajas

      The people you work with are top notch. Like "keep the entire C and C++ standards in their head" top notch. Use a lot of open source technologies. Promote it too. Low overhead. Good gear. Good Benefits. RRSP matching.

      Desventajas

      Owned by Blackberry and going through a painful culture shock and transition. Salaries are low, and they don't even get it. Bonuses are low tied to BlackBerry results. Ultimately there are two QNX's at QNX. One QNX is working directly on BB stuff and the other QNX is working on their old bread-and-butter. And it seems as though the BB side is growing while the old guard are being snuffed out.

      Independence, self-motivation, clear goals, wide markets.

      Desventajas

      Lack of touch w/ customers in the field, poor marketing research, too ambitions plans but not enough tools to reach them.

      Great technology, excellent engineering talent, brilliant vision A chance to make a real difference in the direction of a terrific product Open software implementation that gives anyone the chance to use a world-class embedded product

      Desventajas

      Miserable marketing - no understanding of the embedded market or what customers really want Inability to hit a deadline Decisions made by uniformed people in positions of authority
